The following are Material Groups incorporated by reference into supplier-issued purchase orders.

  • CALIBRATION: Subcontract Operation Only (Service for Metrology Lab).
  • MG30 – Applicable to Electronics Manufactures: Manufactured electrical parts/components (resistors, diode, etc.).
  • MG33 – Applicable to Electronics Distributors: Off the shelf procured electrical parts/components (resistors, diode, etc.).
  • MG35 – Applicable to Wire harnesses/Cables: Cable – Electrical Distributor or Manufacture.
  • MG37 – Applicable to Printed Circuit Boards
  • MG40 – Applicable to Extrusions: Manufacturing process in which metal or plastic material is forced through a shaped metal piece or die to produce includes all thermal and testing requirements as specified on the drawing and purchase order.
  • MG50 – Applicable to Forgings: Manufacturing process in which metal is formed into the desired shape includes all thermal and testing requirements as specified on the drawing and purchase order.
  • MG60 – Applicable to Casting: Manufacturing process in which metal is formed into the desired shape includes all thermal and testing requirements as specified on the drawing and purchase order.
  • MG70 – Applicable to Hardware Manufacturers: Manufactured hardware parts/components.
  • MG72 – Applicable to Hardware Distributors: Off the shelf procured standard parts/components (nutplates, rivets, etc.).
  • MG73 – Applicable to Spring Manufacturers: Fabricate sprint complete includes all thermal, testing & processing requirements.
  • MG80 – Applicable to Molded or Rubber Products: Fabricate rubber product complete including drawing notes and purchase order.
  • MG81 – Applicable to Metallics & Plastics (Raw Material Only): Fabricate metallic and rubber product complete including drawing notes and purchase order.
  • MG82 – Applicable to Product Identification and Decals: Identification marking of the product(s) as specified on the drawing and purchase order.
  • MG83 – Applicable to Gaskets: Fabricate rubber product complete including drawing notes and purchase order.
  • MG88 – Applicable to Plastics: Fabricate plastic product complete including drawing notes and purchase order.
  • MG117 – Applicable to SHIMS: Fabricate (form, punch, etc) complete includes all thermal, testing & processing requirements.
  • MG130 – Applicable to Paints, Sealants, and Chemicals: Included adhesives, paints, varnishes, enamels, conformal coating, etc. material is typically identified with expiration date for shelf life storage.
  • MG140 – Applicable to Crates/Packaging: Purchased storage units or materials used to secure part for shipment.
  • MG180 – Applicable to Wood/Foam and Tooling/R&D: Make complete per purchase order requirements.
  • MG215 – Applicable to Sheet Metal FAB (including Minor Assemblies): Fabricate (form, punch, etc) complete includes all thermal, testing & processing requirements.
  • MG217 – Applicable to Machined Castings and/or Forgings: Machined Casting or Forging bought complete. Includes all casting, forging, rough machining, processing, final machining and thermal and testing requirements as specified on the drawing and purchase order.
  • MG250 – Applicable to Tubing Fabrications: Supply & fabricate (form, machine, etc) complete includes all thermal, testing & processing requirements.
  • MG270 – Applicable to Machining (including Minor Assemblies): Machine complete includes all thermal, testing & processing requirements. Including minor assy means minor integration of nutplates, inserts and the like.
  • MG280 – Applicable to Major Assemblies/Electro Mechanical Assemblies: Applies to parts and/or components a complete assembly including all processes and testing requirements as directed on the purchase order.
  • MGS-BRA – Applicable to Braiding: Subcontract Operation Only.
  • MGS-HT – Applicable to Heat Treating: Subcontract Operation Only.
  • MGS-M – Applicable to Manufacturing: Subcontract Operation Only.
  • MGS-NO CODE – Applicable to Conformal Coat: Subcontract Operation Only.
  • MGS-P1 – Applicable to Electrical Assembly or Program: Subcontract Operation Only.
  • MGS-PRO – Applicable to Processing; Penetrant; Mag. Insp; Phosphate Coating; X-Rays: Subcontract Operation Only.
  • MGS-RAW – Applicable to Raw Materials; Castings, Extrusions, and Forgings: Subcontract Operation Only.
  • MGS-SHT – Applicable to Sheet Metal (VFM): Subcontract Operation Only.
  • MGS-WE – Applicable to Welding: Subcontract Operation Only.
  • PAP 47.9: Applicable to material declared to be a Mission Critical Material by Raytheon.
  • TESTING: Subcontract Operation Only (Service for Metrology Lab & R&D/Engr).
